Nowadays,high school history textbooks are presented in thematic modules,resulting in the fragmentation of the historical knowledge system.Under the concept of education,it is very important to realize reasonable and effective history teaching and build a complete high school history knowledge system.As an appendix of the high school history textbooks,the "event chronology" section is one of the important components of the teaching materials,and in some ways,it complements the deficiencies brought by the teaching of the history teaching.Through the application of "event chronology" in the study,students can not only organize the history system scientifically and reasonably,but also help to develop the historical concept.In recent years,the proportion of "big event chronology" in high test questions has been increasing.Therefore,it is of great importance to use event chronology to carry out high school teaching and excavate teaching resources.Based on the study of history textbook "timeline" section of the application,combining with teaching practice,find the problems existing in the classroom teaching,put forward the understanding and application of "timeline" section.In this paper,through literature research,questionnaire,interview method,such as study method,a middle schools in Yantai four classes,about two hundred students and five study history teacher.In the research,it is found that,due to the stress of teaching,the "event chronology" section is not paid attention to in teaching,and the application is less,and the application method is single.The research of the "event chronology" section has yet to be developed.This paper is divided into five parts,and discusses the application of "chronology of events" in teaching.The first part is the introduction.Based on the existing research results,the research background and significance of this thesis are summarized,and the literature review is written to provide theoretical basis for this paper.By means of questionnaire survey and interview method,this paper provides an empirical basis for the research of this topic.The second part is the concept and category of "event chronology".The authormainly from the concept and the present textbook of "timeline" of the two sides of the style category,introduces the current high school history textbook in the timeline as unique,comprehensive,phased,contrast the chronology of the type of four kinds of style type,characteristics,basic statement on "timeline" section.The third part discusses the importance of "chronology of events" in history teaching.The teacher application "timeline" in history teaching,guides the student to draw "timeline",is beneficial to stimulate students' subject consciousness,establish the overall history,to distinguish the difficult point content,train the ability of history subject.The fourth part is the teaching application of "chronology of events".Based on the questionnaire survey and teacher interview,this paper analyzes the existing problems in the application of "event chronology" in the current high school history teaching,namely,it is not paid attention to,the application is less and the application form is single,etc.Are put forward in the new class lectures,recitations,problem sets on strategy,the application of historical timeline and briefly described to comb the historical development of the main line,to cultivate students thinking ability and improve the efficiency of classroom teaching and application effect.The effect of the application of "event chronology" is in line with the requirements of the new curriculum standard on the core quality of students' history subject.The fifth part is the conclusion of this thesis.In the future education teaching,we will continue to follow up the research of this topic and make further improvement based on the original research.
