The history of historical chronology has existed for a long time since shiji was created. It becomes a tradition that history scholars mostly will continue to write historical chronology in history works during different periods. To extend the advantage of traditional history, scholars also add big matters chronology to each textbook in terms of writing the history textbooks. As an important part in the history books and textbooks, Historical timeline are used to make clear events order, clarify historical events and refer to historical events. From the perspectives of teaching, this study analizes the importance of historical chronology in high school history teaching,editing, and application. Only after understanding the comprehensions of historical chronology and application situation can we put forward the improved suggestions.This passage consists of five parts.In the first part, introduction, discusses the reason for the selected topic, history before becoming academic, definition, methods and significance of research and so on.In the second part, the importance of historical chronology. Making use of historical documents, teaching materials and other reference books, we can make a conclusion. Firstly, the historical chronology can sort out things according to time clues, reveal the historical causality and regularity, slightly red to collect papers, and unified time easily to access etc; secondly, to make up for some problems, the chronology of history textbooks are modular decomposition, special historical facts,solve large span arrangement, disorders and unclearness resulting from the corporations between Chinese and foreigners. Finally, we stress the importance of historical chronology in the textbooks and teaching.The third part, the chronology of history textbook. This chapter focuses on the historical chronology of version of “PEP curriculum standard experimental textbook of ordinary senior high school" in the statistics, sorting and classification, so we know the chronology of materials are mainly in the appendix chronology, the chronology,reference books and other educational materials. What’s more, we analyzes the situation of teaching materials, with the aid of the main types of history and chronology and the extracurricular books, we can make the best of them betweenteachers and students, such as the Chinese and foreign history, Chronology Chronology, China history China dynastic history chronology.The fourth part, making the historical chronology. Firstly, the author should keep some principles in making the historical chronology such as teaching combining with the chronology table, wood table and reasonable style. In addition, accurate and clear principle is included; then we can focus on preparation of chronology, in particular major stage, control and comprehensive Chronology, trying to provide some theory and practice experience for the teachers and students to develop chronology.The fiifth part, using the historical chronology. This is the ultimate purpose of studying the historical chronology in this paper.when it comes to application of teaching materials, we should make the appropriate choice, flexibility, and in particular principles should be the first considered. Meanwhile, we should present time and seize the needs of teaching properly. Then through researches of the data analysis and application of the status,we can find out problems of chronology, and then figure out its the principles. Only in this way can we put forward some suggestions for improvement.
