Since the reform and opening up,the history curriculum of compulsory education has developed rapidly,so the history textbooks have also been revised correspondingly.As the carrier of education teaching,history textbooks should reflect the development achievements of history and pedagogy as well as the national will and practical needs.Among them,two sets of seventh grade "Chinese History" textbooks respectively compiled by People's Education Press(PEP)in 2001 and by the Ministry of Education(MOE)are a typical representation.Both have been widely used.Due to various reasons,these two sets of textbooks have some differences in concept,structure and content,which are comparable.In order to help frontline teachers better use MOE's textbooks,this paper uses literature research,text analysis and other research methods to compare and evaluate these two sets of textbooks from several parts.By comparing and summarizing the characteristics and differences of textbooks,it can be found that PEP's textbooks pays attention to the thematic,emphasizes the division of social development stage,reinforcing the training of the students' interest in learning,writing rich in content and complete structure.MOE's textbooks emphasis on the sequence of historical development,apply the historical data teaching to cultivate the history of accomplishment.MOE's textbooks also lighten the burden of students,reflect the national will and active the needs of the time,is more suitable for students' learning and development.
