A Study On Effective Lead-in Of English Class In Primary School

Primary school is the initiation stage of Learning English.It is also a beginning of learning English for a student.The old saying says “Well beginning is the half battle.”The importance of learning English in primary school is that pay attention to the cultivation of the interest in English,to build self-confidence and develop good study habits.In order to lay a solid foundation for further study.However,lead-in is also a beginning of classroom teaching.It plays an important role to the whole teaching.But in the traditional English classroom teaching,the effect of lead-in has been ignored even it doesn't has lead-in.So the traditional English classroom teaching is rigid,depressing,students aren't interested in English even hate English.So this thesis explores the appropriate lead-in methods for English classes of primary school.The author hopes it can play a positive role to the traditional English teaching.This thesis based on the theory of constructivism and humanism,the author consult a large amount of data and books and analysis about the present situation of primary school English classroom.The author also points out the disadvantages of traditional English teaching.Optimize and summarizes the lead-in methods,in the light of my own teaching practice and pupil's psychological characteristics,I mainly use: action research lead-in method,literature study lead-in method and contact life situation lead-in method.In order to verify the effectiveness of the experiment test,the author uses comparative experiments,observation method,interview method,questionnaire survey method for validation and the related data analysis are done.Experimental result show that the new lead-in methods help enhance student's learning performance and improve their English scores and help stimulate students' interest in English study.
