The research thought of this thesis is based on the effective teaching theory, and discusses the topic comprehensively from effective teaching to effective classroom teaching, then deduces the basic model of effective teaching.This thesis concentrates on the applied research of effective teaching theory in Geography teaching.First, the thesis elaborates the proposal, the development process, and the current situation of effective teaching theory. It also discusses the contents, the features, and some misunderstandings or problems in Geography classroom teaching.Second, by analyzing a specific lesson, apply the effective teaching theory to a lesson, and optimize the complete alternation by preparation, practice, and feedback.Third, cut down or add the teaching materials according to the practical situation, so that we can make the lessons more vivid and specific, and arouse students' interest. In the meantime, plan the teaching contents and teaching process elaborately to reflect the student-oriented teaching mode.Furthermore, use various teaching methods and teaching facilities in class to make the details more perfect, such as the application of multimedia courseware and the electronic whiteboard in class, the use of mind maps before class, and also the use of questionnaires, forums and activities in teaching.
