The students of vocational and technical schools are the indispensable productivity and talent resources in our country in the future.How to make the professional students of vocational schools better understand the knowledge of mathematical functions,so that they can appreciate the application value of functions in real life and improve the application ability of the professional skills of the middle school students,which is also an important part of the education research of mathematics.This paper,combining the characteristics of the vocational college students'(special)industry,changes the teaching content and teaching methods from the perspective of observing the students' learning styles,applied the mathematical modeling thought into the function teaching process of secondary school students,and conducts the teaching practice research with Tongling city vocational and technical college as an example.In order to understand the situation of the learning and mathematical modeling of the functions of the middle school students,based on the theoretical research,a "three-point" questionnaire was developed to investigate the current situation of functional modeling of different majors.The result is that the current activities of modeling teaching in vocational schools in China are not smooth,and the related activities and researches are not too many.The students' understanding of mathematical modeling is not enough,and they really need the timely integration of modeling ideas.Meanwhile,they also expressed the hope that they would carry out similar activities such as mathematical modeling,and also require that they should start early.One of the major features of this article is to bring the case design into actual teaching and testing the teaching effect;The other is with previous ideas of mathematical modeling into the teaching function of concern object is different,also is the secondary specialized school students' vocational schools,they are the accounts for a small number of the five-year vocational school students.Mostly because of the bad grades in their interest in learning is not high,in fact,they enter the school to study,do not need to like high school students to participate in the university entrance exam,study pressure instead.In such conditions,considering the students' professional and employment direction,and the future of the need of practical application ability,the author believes that these secondary specialized school students' need more training of mathematical modeling thought.The results of the practical research show that the special objects studied in this paper do need more attention from teachers.The conclusion is drawn from the analysis of Excel and SPSS19.0 that the special teaching mode and teaching method(the application of mathematical model thought)in the middle school class can significantly promote the teaching of middle school students.The function teaching that integrates the mathematical modeling thought conforms to the Constructivism learning theory,and has great help to the students' thinking ability and understanding ability and the ability to analyze the problems.
