With the development of the curriculum reform and people's awareness of English education,English teachers' professional development has been increasingly paid more and more concerns in senior high school.Then,teachers' autonomous development has been one of the hot topics in the field of foreign language education and it also becomes the important part of English teachers' professional development in senior high school.Based on the previous achievements of the research,this study firstly sorts out the key concept on "teachers' autonomy" and "teachers' autonomous development".After reading a large number of relevant literature at home and abroad,the study regards the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Lifelong Education Theory as the theoretical basis.Then,the study uses the method of questionnaire and interview as the research methods.There are 420 English teachers from 14 different high schools in Hebei Province who are surveyed as the research subjects.The study conducts a deep investigate on English teachers' autonomous development of senior high school in this area which aims to explore the basic information,the current situation and the needs of these English teachers.Next,based on the previous results,the study points out the existing problems of English teachers' autonomous development in 14 senior high schools in Hebei Province and analyzes the influencing factors that affect their autonomous development.Finally,on the basis of analysis and discussion of the results,the study puts forward some relevant suggestions and solutions to English teachers' autonomous development of senior high school in the area.
