With the improvement of China's overall strength,the Ministry of Education,the National Development and Reform Commission,and the Ministry of Finance jointly proposed guidance to guide the transition of some local undergraduate universities to applied ones.In the context of transformation,local normal university are faced with the dual pressures of adhering to the characteristics of teacher education and the transition to comprehensiveness.For local normal university,teacher education is the most important feature of teachers colleges and the basis for establishing a school.With the trend of popularization of higher education and the deepening of teacher education reform,how to maintain the superiority of teacher education is the key to the development of normal colleges and universities.For local normal university,teacher education is the most important feature of normal university and the basis for establishing a school.With the trend of popularization of higher education and the deepening of teacher education reform,how to maintain the advantage of teacher education is the key to the development of normal university.In the process of transition,a correct understanding of the relationship between transformation and characteristic development is the prerequisite for the development of normal colleges and universities;adhering to the development and optimization of teacher education characteristics is the key to achieving the development of higher normal universities.This research is based on the universities in Henan Province,using literature research methods,interview methods,and case analysis methods to analyze the connotation of the characteristics of the development of teachers colleges and the relationship between the transformation and the characteristics of normal universities,from the positioning of education,professional settings,personnel training.The four dimensions of regional services surveyed the current situation of the development of normal colleges and universities in Henan Province,analyzed the current problems and causes of the university in Henan Province,and proposed the path for the development of the characteristics of the university in Henan Province.The study is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly includes research origin and research significance;literature review;theoretical basis and core concepts;research ideas and research methods.The second chapter is the understanding of the characteristics of the development of normal university under the background of transition.It analyzes the connotation and significance of the characteristics of the development of normal university,and discusses the relationship between transformation and the development of normal university.The third chapter is the analysis of the present situation of the development of the colleges and universities in Henan Province.This part was investigated the present situation of the development of normal universities and analyzed the current problems existing in normal universities in Henan Province and its root causes mainly from the four dimensions of the school-running orientation,professional setting,personnel training and regional service.The fourth chapter is the characteristic development path of normal university in Henan Province.In order to solve the problems existing in normal university in Henan Province,four basic countermeasures for the development of the characteristics of the universities in Henan Province are proposed,namely,the orientation of school education,the optimization of the teacher education system,and the construction of a multi-element training model to meet the needs of regional development.The fifth chapter is a case study.Xinyang Normal University was selected as a case to analyze the characteristic development of Xinyang Normal University.
