The fairy tales shape the vivid image by imagination,personification and exaggeration,and tell the magical story content.The abstract expression also accords with the children's favorite fantasy features.In addition,the fairy tales cause their children's reading interest because of their interestingness and plot.Therefore,in the school-age stage,the status and role of fairy tales in Chinese teaching should not be underestimated.Although both China and Japan belong to Asia geographically,due to many factors such as the differences in history and culture between the two countries,the differences in cultural traditions,and the current differences in cultural policies,even the fairy tales in primary school textbooks will have many differences.However,the fairy tales of the textbooks for primary schools in the two countries must all be selected to be suitable for their own national conditions and have been carefully selected by experts.In modern society,China and Japan have devoted themselves energetically to discussions and researches in the proper forms of culture and education and curriculum conceptions.However,comparative studies between the two countries are still rarely seen,especially textbooks.Therefore,this dissertation analyzes the textbooks which are highly regarded and used in practical teaching to explore the respective characteristics of the fairy tales essay in the two countries.At the same time,it has a certain understanding of the general situation of the fairy tales essay.On this basis,in order to achieve the course objectives of teaching fairy tales in Chinese language education,this dissertation puts forward suggestions on the compilation of textbooks in Chinese primary school in order to select the content of fairy tales more rigorously and optimize the compilation of textbooks.At the same time,it suggests that we should absorb the outstanding fairy tales to promote multicultural understanding.Based on the above ideas,the paper consists of an introduction and four parts: the introduction states the origin and significance of the research and the research status at home and abroad,describing the research object,content,methods and ideas;the first part defines the concept and analysis the framework,defining Chinese textbooks and fairy tales and determining the analytical framework;the second part is the comparison of fairy tale selection in the junior Chinese textbooks of primary schools in China and Japan,using content analysis method to make specific comparative analysis;the third part is the comparison of fairy tale selection in the senior Chinese textbooks of primary schools in China and Japan,using content analysis method to make specific comparative analysis;the fourth part is the reflection on the two editions of textbook and the inspiration for the compilation of Chinese textbooks.
