Based on audition teaching theory,modern cognitive psychology,learning theory and curriculum resources development requirements,the article analyze the characteristics of geography subject,the function of film and television media and psychological characteristics of people,at the same time combined with questionnaire survey of a large number of geography teachers,comprehensive analysis of the domestic and foreign film and television resources application in geography classroom teaching and the research present situation.The article on the basis of teaching practice for one semester,sum up several gains.Firstly,combine of questionnaire and classroom practice teaching for students learning effect,once again proved the advantage of film and television resources in the teaching.In the practice of using multi-dimensional exploration of movie resources improving students' learning path,such as the creation of teaching situation of different atmosphere;Stimulate students' curiosity and interest,break through the difficult points of the course content;Cultivate the students' concentration,and constantly improve the thinking ability;Enrich and expand students' learning materials,expand students' vision;Help students to establish correct scientific world outlook,values and outlook on life.The practice also explores the reasons of some teachers who don't want to use the film and television resources,the reasons are as follows,such as teaching content is not suitable for using,they do not collect related teaching videos.It is also found that some teachers can not deal with the problems about processing video rights,class time is not easy to be controlled,and the improper using will be more or less dispersed students' follow-up attention.Realized through practice,the film and television resources applied to teaching appear the following problems: resources' content are old,update is slow,which cannot meet the demand of new curriculum reform;Resources are numerous,but high quality resources quantity is less in general;Limited to supply form,the needed video material searching efficiency is not high.Resources for teaching pertinence is not enough,disciplines cover less of knowledge.To this end,the article discusses the establishment middle school geography principle and the path of film and television repository;Established in material selection,classroom atmosphere,students' reaction and subsequent learning attitude and interest as an index of the film and television teaching evaluation system,and try to build the middle school geography teaching reference video database.
