Classes and schools are important places for students' socialization. The status and roles of students in the group are mainly composed of "cadre role" and "mass role".During the school period(especially in the middle and higher education stage),whether they have experience as a student cadre is not only related to the social development of students during the school, but also influence their future employment quality and career development deeply.Based on the experience and reflection of the selection of student cadres, the current concern on the secondary vocational education and the fairness of education and the shortcomings of the existing research, this study focuses on the problem of the family background's impact of secondary students as student cadres.Using the questionnaires,I selected the first, second and third grade students of secondary vocational Z1,Z2 and Z3 schools in Wuhan City as the object, and put the first, second and third grade students of ordinary high schools H1,H2 and H3 in Wuhan City as the reference object.Firstly, with the SPSS statistics, analyzing the distribution of the various family background indicators like the family location, parents' education, parents' job, family income between secondary vocational students and general high school students, secondary vocational students overall and secondary vocational school students cadres,I acquired the distribution of the various groups of the family class.Following this,I analyzed the influence of the family background on the overall quality of student cadres and whole students of the secondary vocational school, and the influence mechanism of the family background on the quality of student cadres and whole students of the secondary vocational schools-rearing style. Finally, according to the results,I drew the research conclusions. The main findings are as follows:(1)According to the normal stratification method, there are obvious differences between the secondary vocational school students and the general high school students in Wuhan City.In the secondary vocational school, more students from the middle class and the basic class, the proportion of students from the dominant family is less than in the normal high school.(2)There are significant differences in the family class between the student cadres and students of the secondary vocational schools in Wuhan City. The proportion of student cadres from the dominant and middle class families is large, and the basic family is small.(3)The family background has a direct impact on the quality of student cadres and the whole students of the secondary vocational school.Students whose father engaged in management or techniques, family belongs to the superior and middle class performed better than students whose father engaged in Service or labor, family belongs to the basic class. However, the quality difference is the direct cause whether a student can serve as the student cadre, and the family background indirectly affect students through the impact of the quality of students.(4)The reasons for the above differences can be found from the cultural capital theory and social capital theory. From the family level of education, the role of family rearing style and the effect of social closure,I can explain the mechanism of the relationship between family capital and the development of students' quality.According to the above research, this thesis puts forward the following suggestions: First of all,in accordance with the guidance of modern students view, teachers should change the concept of students and rebuild the class management philosophy;Secondly, enrich the selection criteria for student cadres, make the selection mechanism more flexible, give more students opportunities; Moreover, the establishment of home-school communication mechanism will improve the degree of social closures, which can Iaken the unbalanced impact of family background and other factors on the development of individual as far as possible.
