PJOE Development Strategy Study

Currently, conventional energy sources such as oil and gas is still the indispensable driving force and source of human survival and social development. At the same time, we also see that in recent years, the world economy continues to slump, oil and gas prices fluctuate dramatically, which caused great impact on energy market. And the related offshore engineering construction market has changed significantly. As PJOE is a growing company, it is very important for it to define the external environment and its own advantages, to establish a reasonable development strategy and growth path. According to the development status of world oil and gas industry and the status quo of offshore engineering industry, the development strategy of PJOE is studied in this paper by combining the actual situation of PJOE.This paper firstly reviewed on strategic management related concepts and theories, mainly on the basis of SWOT, Boston matrix, the value chain analysis and diversified cooperation and other strategic theories, in accordance with the train of thought:raising problems-analyzing problems-solving problems and then did research on PJOE development strategy. Through the analysis of the external macro environment, such as world economy and energy structure, the present development status of the offshore engineering industry, the competition situation of each business sector and national policy, combined with internal growth environment, such as hardware and software capabilities, the advantages and disadvantages of each business sector, by comprehensive and comparative analysis, drawing the strategic development direction, the medium and long-term development objectives, development strategy plan and development strategy implementation measures of PJOE.In this paper, strategic development measures of PJOE are put forward in five aspects: that is to seize the opportunity of world offshore engineering construction industry transfer and strengthen our own hardware and software capabilities construction; by extending the traditional business chain to enhance the added value of traditional business; through focusing on the development of large-scale LNG modular business to improve the major project management level and seize the emerging markets; through establishing the Mechanical Products Division, specialized and stabilized the mechanical products manufacturing; quit "dog" products manufacturing, which has no competitive advantages. Through the implementation of a series of strategic development measures, effectively enhance the strategic management level of PJOE.
