Research On Comprehensive Evaluation Of Public Transportation Services In HaNoi

Public Transportationis the main way of people's daily travel and one of themain infrastructuresin the city, and at the same time it is the essential tie and bridgefor economic, political, and cultural life of a modern city. In recent years, the progressof the society and the rapid growth of the economy in Vietnam have not only improved theurbanization level, but also brought about thetraffic problems of this city. In terms of the present situation in Vietnam, the most serious problem of urbantraffic lies in the urban public transport. The level of urban public transportdevelopment is one of the important indicators to measure the comprehensivestrengths of a city, and it is also the direct window to reflect the city's development. The quality of publictransport service is always the focus of attentionas a matter of course.As a result ofpeople's demand of travel and the intense competition in the industry along with thedemand for public transport,it is urgentto improve the quality of public transportservices. Therefore, how to improve the quality ofpublic transport services to meet the demand for the public transportationbecomes one of the important topics.The main framework and innovation points in this paper:(1) Defined the quality of public transport servicesand the boundary of scaling and studying the standard of the public transportation, offset the indistinct and ambiguous study about it at the this time.(2) Established the principleson the basis of the five indexes, worked out an scientific and systematicevaluation system for the public transport service level in line with the actual situation inVietnam;(3) Took Hanoi as an example of empirical research,collected datascientifically and reasonably, and analyzed the data in detail. Concluded the evaluation results for the quality of public traffic service in Hanoi by usingRank Correlation Analysis;(4) Found out the potential problemsby measuring the quality of public transport service and the operation conditionsin Hanoi, put forward the scientific and reasonable suggestions for the management sectionof public transportation and the related stakeholdersin this industry in Hanoi;(5) Finally, summarized the result of thisresearch,and put forward some problems which require further study.
