Researches On Outsourcing Management Of XN Hydroelectric Equipment Maintenance

As a new and effective management mode, the equipment maintenance outsourcing brings much benefits in businesses, but it also carries a number of risks. Managing outsourcing project of equipment maintenance scientifically can minimize the risk of outsourcing. The XN hydroelectric station is chosen as the research object to perform researches on outsourcing Management. First, the process of equipment maintenance outsourcing project of this hydroelectric station is divided into four stages according to the project management theory. Then, the existing problems for each stage are analyzed, following by the corresponding suggestions to these problems. Finally, some useful experiences and conclusions could be obtained from these researches. Results obtained from this dissertation not only could improve the management ability of the equipment maintenance outsourcing for the XN hydroelectric station, but also could provide important technical references for other similar hydroelectric stations.In this dissertation, the organizational structure, management systems and the situation of the equipment maintenance and servicing management for the XN hydroelectric station are described firstly. Second, process of the equipment maintenance outsourcing project for this hydroelectric station is divided into four stages depending on the project management theory, i.e., the concept phase, the development phase, the implementation phase, and the end phase. Third, problems involved in each stage are summarized through investigation and observation, and collection of the equipment maintenance management systems for this hydroelectric station to carry out the statistical analysis on the equipment and spare parts of hydroelectric station. And then the information for outsourcing decision-making is gained based on literature review, and the interview to the maintenance manager on the problems of selecting suppliers, outsourcing management process and outsourcing safety control. Finally, the solutions are made by combination of theory and practice.Results from this dissertation indicat that the scope of outsourcing determination and decision-making analysis are the major problems in the concept phase, the selection of suppliers and making the outsourcing management process are the major problems in the development phase, spare parts management and the safety control of the outsourcing are the major problems in the implementation phase, and the improvement of the project evaluation system is the major problem in the end phase.
