In the context of building the rule of law, people's awareness of the law gradually increased, it also has brought unprecedented opportunities for development firm.Many law firms are developing towards the direction of specialization and large-scale, but domestic large law firms are still numbered. Compared with those abroad, it is can be realized that whether a law firm scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system has a significant influence on its own development.In this paper, it is through the study of the Balance Score Card theory and its practicability, to introduce the theory to law firms, so as to optimize the present performance evaluation system, and to build a good foundation for its long-term development. By the means of case study, choosing H Law Firm as the study object, a brief introduction of its present situation and developing crisis as the beginning, and through a concrete analysis of the structure of its current performance evaluation system, the implementation process and the effect, finally find where the problem is.Then through analyzing the feasibility of the Balanced Score Card in H Law Firm, to build a performance evaluation system based on the Balanced Score Card for H Law Firm, and through the hierarchy analysis to assess the importance of various indexes, to produce a scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system for H Law Firm.In this paper, it emphasizes on the introduction of the building of performance evaluation system based on the Balanced Score Card, the scientific criterion weight of various indexes, and reasonable distribution. This can provide referential designing ideas and methods for the implementation of balanced scorecard in performance evaluation system in H Law Firm; can provide people some reference for studying or exploring the performance evaluation system in law firms; and in the strategy background to build a country under the rule of law, can provide some manageable and practical revelations for those Chinese law firms that are faced with great opportunities and challenges.
