In the Construction enterprises,construction project team is led by project manager.The team implements project management activities under the guidance of their common goal.Due to the external environment uncertainty and project activities unpredictability,the construction project management becomes complicated and puts forward a higher requirement to the project team's adaptive ability.But it is the fact that,in a dynamic and changeable environment,because of team members' capacity constraint,construction project team can't effectively solve the problems in project process.Construction enterprises must establish efficient construction project team,so that it can accurately and quickly solve all kinds of urgency and achieve project goals.Construction project team makes adaptive behavior in work,emboding the team members' adaptive ability to complex project management work in the overall level,namely adaptive performance.Based on the social exchange theory,behavioral psychology and reciprocal perspective,this study introduced transformational leadership and psychological empowerment and builded a theoretical model of the relationship between the construction project manager's transformational leadership,team psychological empowerment and adaptive performance.Firstly,through personal interview,questionnaire survey and expert opinions,etc,this study got scale informations and recomposed the adaptive performance scale.Secondly,using SPSS and AMOS software,this study implemented sample data processing.By adopting the method of structural equation model,this study made empirical analysis of the causal relationship between three variables,and inspect team psychological empowerment intermediary effect.The conclusions of this study: first,though the implementation of transformational leadership,project manager focuses on the flexible non-material incentives,then it can enhance adaptability of the construction project team and improve the adaptive performance in a dynamic construction project environment.Second,transformational leadership can have a positive impact on the perception of psychological empowerment shared between team members,that is team psychological empowerment.Third,this study confirmed the consensus of “psychology influence behavior”,When construction project team members produce a high level of team psychological empowerment,the adaptive performance would be improved.Fourth,team psychological empowerment plays a completely mediating role between the transformational leadership and adaptive performance in construction project team,indicating that,transformational leadership impacts on adaptive performance entirely by team psychological empowerment to convey the effect.At the same time,capacity-oriented and work-oriented empowerment experience all can produce a strong mediating effect.By conducting empirical research and using data form,under the construction project background,this study verified mechanism of interaction between transformational leadership,team psychological empowerment and adaptive performance,enriched the content of the related research fields,and provided reference for further research.It provided management guidance for improving construction project team adaptive performance,and also promoted harmonious and healthy development of construction industry in our country.
