Six Sigma Management is a series of systematic method for company's business improvement. It is a concept of continuously improving business process of whole company, target to achieve the goal of total customer satisfaction. Meanwhile it can reduce the waste cost. By implementing DMAIC(Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) method on current process, it can eliminate flaws and non-value added works dramatically, so that the product quality can be improved, cost can be reduced and cycle time can be shortened. Furthermore it can satisfy customers and enhance the competitiveness of whole company.Now the industry of mobile phone goes into the smart phone generation, the screen size becomes larger and frame becomes thinner. This structure brings more challenge to designer and manufacture. This thesis employs Six Sigma problem solving method on the process of display bonding to solve the display low POF(push out force) issue and raises the POF in the specification by optimizing manufacture process. This thesis follows typical DMAIC method to present the process how we solve the issue.Firstly this thesis introduces the background, key points and methodology of this project. Then it briefs the concept, derivation, and development of Six Sigma Management and DMAIC methodology. After that it illustrates product structure and process of display-frame module. And then it scrutinizes the problem of low POF issue, identifies root cause and executes corrective actions by applying DMAIC methods. Finally it summarizes the guiding significance for cell phone quality improvement by DMAIC methodology, meanwhile lists the limitation of this research and provides suggestion for further study.By the conclusion and execution of this project, it improves product's passing yield significantly, reduces manufacture scrap cost dramatically and brings about economical benefit to company. Furthermore other companies of cell phone industry can refer this thesis. The research could be a reference of problem solving by Six Sigma DMAIC methodology.
