Since the reform and opening up, with the rapid development of China's economy and the increase of the total, the number of small and medium enterprises in China has been increasing year by year, which has gradually occupied a very important position in the social economy. But in our country many production oriented private enterprise management practice, the performance evaluation of the production department staff has not caused enough attention, the enterprise generally lack of reasonable and effective performance evaluation system for the production department staff, resulting in the production department staff is generally positive, low production efficiency, this problem has seriously restricted the overall performance level of small and medium enterprises. R company as a typical private middle and small manufacturing enterprises in our province, after years of development, has begun to take shape, but is now facing the same problems as many similar enterprises:management mode is single, management level is low, performance evaluation method is backward. With the rapid development of enterprises, low level of management and a single assessment method has seriously restricted the organization of enterprises to implement efficiency and productivity levels.This article will take the questionnaire survey and the interview method, the R company's current production staff performance evaluation system satisfaction survey, and combined with performance management and performance appraisal theory, based on R company's human resources present situation, the existing problems and reasons for the performance evaluation system, the final comprehensive use of target management, key performance indicators and 360 degree assessment method, combined with R company's strategic objectives, and put forward a suit of R company's actual performance evaluation and optimization program.Through establishing a scientific and perfect performance appraisal system in R company, we can solve the practical problems existing in the performance evaluation system of R company's production department so as to arouse the enthusiasm of employees, improve the production efficiency, realize the effective improvement of the whole performance of the enterprise, enhance their core competitiveness, and promote its strategic objectives to achieve. At the same time, it can provide reference for other similar private production enterprises to improve the level of human resource management.
