Study On Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Mechanism Based On The Subjects' Utility

As a part of the nation's collaborative innovation system,Industry-university-research collaborative innovation is an important approach to improve the strength of each subject and competitiveness of nations,and it is also an important topic in academic research.Though Industry-university-research collaborative innovation has been carried out extensively,a long-term mechanism has not been built.So,it is necessary to study the mechanism of the Industry-university-research collaborative innovation from a new theory perspective.Therefore,this dissertation introduces utility theory into the study of Industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanism.The subjects' utility demand is evaluated through factor analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process method,and the difference between subjective and objective utility of each subject is analyzed.Then the relationship of subjects' utility and the effectiveness of Industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanism is validated through system dynamics method.Firstly,on the basis of literature review,we define the relevant concepts of subjects' utility and innovation interest,get the preliminary screened indexes,and build the evaluation system of subjects' utility demand of Industry-university-research cooperative innovation,which includes three first-level indexes: economic effectiveness,knowledge production and personnel training and 12 second-level indexes.Then,a hierarchical model is established on the basis of the established index system,subjective and objective utility requirements of the subjects is evaluated by the Analytic Hierarchy Process method and differences between the subjective and objective utility demand of each subjects is analyzed.Finally,we analyze the features of the effectiveness of collaborative innovation mechanism based on the existing research and utility theory,introduce the system dynamics theory and methods,and construct system dynamics model including each subject's utility of Industry-university-research collaborative innovation subsystem,collaborative innovation output subsystem,Industry-university-research collaborative innovation long-term mechanism and Industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanism effectiveness system;then we validate the relationship of subjects' utility and the effectiveness of Industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanism.The main results and innovation points of this dissertation include:(1)the evaluation system of subjects' utility demand of Industry-university-research cooperative innovation is constructed,which includes three first-level indexes and 12 second-level indexes.(2)During the actual operation of Industry-university-research cooperative innovation,each subject's subjective utility demands have deviated from it's organization purpose,they all value economic interests instead of paying enough attention to knowledge production and personnel training as they should be based on the organization purpose;enterprises pay more attention to resource complementary among business partners;universities and research institutes also show enthusiasm on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.This dissertation argues that it relates to their emphasis on economic benefits;besides,universities and research institutes' paying less attention on knowledge interest shows that the collaborative innovation mainly involves technical trading,and the synergy between the subjects is at low level.(3)The smaller the difference between the innovators' subjective and objective utility demands,the more effective the collaborative innovation mechanism will be.(4)The technology transfer rate has a significant positive impact on output and effectiveness of industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanism.This dissertation evaluates and analyzes the subjects' utility demands and studies the relationship between innovators' utility and industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanism based on the utility theory.The study proposes a new perspective on the research of effectiveness of University-industry-research collaborative innovation from utility theory,and also provides a new theoretical explanation for building industry-university-research collaborative innovation long-term mechanism.
