Great Wall Computer Co.,Ltd.(GW), as an old state-owned company, is one of the most famous domestic computer manufacturers with long history. In the stage of the 13 th five national plans, to speed up the main business, open the international market and improve the ability of profitability and capital operating had become a request of necessity for the leapfrogging development of the group for GW. Thus, how to be one step ahead in neither domestic nor international environment where full of fierce competition, in the way of making the adjustment of development direction base on the strategic study, becoming the critical problem confronting the enterprise.The thesis is based on the theory of strategic management of enterprise, combining the development background and environment of computer industry, using SWOT analysis, industry chain analysis and industry option analysis according to, the operating status, administrative status, the development status of main business, of GW, and coming up with the company strategic positioning, strategic policy and strategic object. In the part of strategy of development schedule, through the twoways of which, concentrating the resource to develop the monitor and power source area and using capital to develop consumption electronics,is to promote the enterprise to position the right direction to transit and upgrade successfully.
