As the rapid development of information technology in the current network society, the cycle of products has been shorten in market. In the increasingly fierce market environment, enterprises should take_more flexible and rapid ways to meet consumers' needs of personality and complication which makes enterprises to be the winner in market. Currently, more and more enterprises run in the way of project which makes project manager to be a important part. Being a kind of special commodity that develops from project, software, let lots of enterprises realized that success of a project depends on management of a team. Due to the fine division of labor and flattening in organization structure, projects need to make works together consecutively meanwhile different departments participated in projects. The team members with different background are sunk into conflicts inevitable while they bring knowledge, experience and solutions. However, making the conflicts play a effective role is a issue that should be focused on. Nevertheless, there is a little research in conflict management of multi-department; it needs to be discussed further.Based on the views of project management, the article introduced property and theoretical in multi-department project team management, make research of conflict and a series solutions to the problem based on IMS example that runs in CHINA TELECOM and particularity of software industry. It aims to connect management between IT technology team management and provide referential measures as well as tactics for enterprises especially for teams in multi-department, and also, it is instructional to manage practice of software project.
