The predecessor of CECO was a technical R& D department, which was gradually developed into an independent engineering technical company entering the fierce market competition within a short time. With the constant expansion of aerospace coal chemical industry, CECO has become an important force in the new development pattern of the aerospace technical application industry and the aerospace service industry. Currently, CECO has contracted lots of projects, featuring a wide range and wide geological space. How to efficiently manage the numerous projects has become a difficult issue which must be resolved for CECO after transitioning from its predecessor as a R&D department. As to that, to choose proper project management model is a guarantee to improve the operation efficiency of the coal chemical projects.This paper firstly analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the project management models both home and abroad. Then, targeted at the problems facing the aerospace coal chemical industry, this paper combines the management system and management status quo of the civil aerospace enterprises to analyze the characteristics of aerospace coal chemical projects and industrial structure. Based on the analysis of factors influencing the choice of aerospace coal chemical industry management modes, this pa per puts forward the suggestions for the choice of aerospace coal chemical project management modes and the design concept for the establishment of the joint venture within the groups, hoping that these suggestions can achieve the efficient resource allocation of the enterprise's multiple projects, optimize the overall management of the projects and materialize the efficient project operation.
