Research On The Development Strategy Of Container Transportation In Qinhuangdao Port

The appear and rise of the container transportation, source in the world economy on trade facilitation needs. With the deepening of the process of economic integration in the world, container formation also plays a more and more important role in promoting a unified market.With the continuous development of China’s economic and social development, China’s container transport has made great progress, it has become the world’s largest container throughput. Container throughput is an important indicator of the modernization degree of a seaport, which has been attracting major domestic ports to develop container transportation, competition is becoming increasingly fierce. In recent years in the competition with the surrounding ports, the development of container transportation of Qinhuangdao port is subject to a variety of factors, the development is relatively slow, the port’s ability to promote economic and social development in the hinterland of the function has been suppressed.Combined with the background of Qinhuangdao Port container development strategy, this paper’s purpose is to prompted the Qinhuangdao port’s capability in the fierce market competition, to further clarify the orientation of port function, to achieve the sustainable development container transportation of Qinhuangdao Port, and to provide more convenient port services for the region’s economic and social development.First of all, with the PEST analysis method, this article has analyzed the external policy and legal environment, economic environment, social and technological environment in which the container transportation of Qinhuangdao Port has stayed, and the industry environment of container transportation of Qinhuangdao Port are analyzed based on the Porter’s five forces model. Among them, this article pointed out that the development trend of container ports has been moving towards larger and deeper, and the current development trend of ship company’s union is discussed.Secondly, based on the combination of internal and external environment analysis, and through the trend analysis method of qualitative analysis and grey model method of quantitative analysis, this article determines the strategic direction for the development of container transportation in Qinhuangdao port, and forecasts the development trend of container throughput of Qinhuangdao port in the future, and concludes that Qinhuangdao Port container throughput in the future will maintain sustained growth momentum.Finally, combined with the current strategy, this paper states a series of targeted strategic security measures for the development of container transportation of Qinhuangdao port.
