There are the characteristics of wide planting area, large output and best quality on Yuncheng red Fuji apple, which promote the Fuji storage industry rapid development. This paper investigates the development of Yuncheng Fuji apple storage industry and promote some suggestions on the management and storage technology.The storage industry of Yuncheng Fuji apple has been more specialized and scale, experiencing from self-sufficiency to commercial, short-term to long-term storage, the normal temperature, low temperature, ice temperature to the air-ice temperature storage, TuYaoDong, modification store, assembly store to large store. They have formed a considerable scale of Fuji apple long-term stores. The Fuji apple stored has a price advantage, the storage industry plays a role of connecting link in the apple industry and enhances the ability to withstand market volatility.During the survey, we found that the storage industry in Yuncheng exists three problems: firstly, the storage technology is backward; secondly, they ignore the problem of management during building; thirdly, there is lack of professionals on the apple storage. Therefore, we have the following recommendations:they should focus on the technical training of the storage and preservation, they must pay attention to the management and coordination of interests.Before storage, we should ensure the appropriate maturity and do a good job on the pre-cooling in the field and storage. Combining with the traditional preservative bags and corrugated bags, we can improve the package through using the 1-MCP fumigation, AF atmosphere wrapping paper and antimicrobial-bibulous paper. During the storage period, we need to distinguish the difference between non-infectious and infectious diseases. There are four methods which the growers can choose to meet the international requirements. First, the chemical treatment method includes 7mg/m3 ozone,2mg/L ozone water,1-MCP and calcium hypochlorite. Second, the physical methods can be used through hot water, hot steam, hot air and ultraviolet radiation. Third, the natural plant preservative reagents also are widely used, for example oxalic acid, phytic acid and aloe gel. Fourth, the microbial preservative reagents also have visible benefit, such as the fermentation liquid of non-toxic Bacillus cereus and Antagonistic Bacillus subtilis.In the management, the government and the main operators should do the management of the storage security together and strengthen the construction of the storage management information; the operators should coordinate the benefit between the fruit growers-operators-customers through flexibly using the preservation mode, so that they can gain long-term profit.Through investigating and combining with the latest scientific research, we hope to improve the management and storage technology of the Fuji apple in Yuncheng which made the storage more useful in the Yuncheng Fuji apple market.
