| A new organizational form called farmers’professional cooperatives association has substantially appeared in recent years. It originates from the former farmer cooperation system and has the contents of joint production and sale. Those associations, due to the actual practices in different areas, develop differently. Therefore, this paper aimed at its operation mechanism and did a case study of the situation in Sichuan province.Several aspects related to the farmers’ professional cooperatives association, the research objective, were analyzed separately in this paper. The first one was its general situation. It was done analytically by describing the registration date, location, registered funds, the number of the members, and the kinds of the produce of each case. The second one was its operation mechanism. It was developed by the background and the construction, the organization and management, the production, the sale, and the benefit distribution. Meanwhile, some experience and problems of the operation were proposed based on the actual situation of the associations. The main conclusions, according to the analysis above, are as follows. Firstly, the farmers’professional cooperative association in Sichuan province has a bright outlook at present. Secondly, it operates well generally and has some experience that is worthy of recommending. What’s more, it is an extension and update of the former cooperation system. Thirdly, some problems constrain its further development. In early stage, they are, basically, unstandardized register, fund-raising difficulty, and product-standard formulation. In mature stage, they are mainly the difficulties in sale and new product development. Some optimized measures were put forward based on the problems analyzed above. Firstly, the related legal support should be promised to enhance the standardized operation in the associations. Secondly, the safe-production senses should be improved and the quality of the product should be guaranteed. Thirdly, the species for the produce should be properly chose. Fourthly, the innovative cooperation to develop the new produce should be organized. Finally, the outer technical support should be offered if necessary. |
