| With the propelling of the information technology and deepening of economic globalization, international capital is shifting from manufacturing to services.Recently, international service outsourcing is in the ascendant and has become the main mode of international capital transfer. Due to its four characteristics of low resource consumption, low environmental pollution, high additi onal value and great ability to absorb labor, developing service outsourcing will have profound impact in employment structure and industrial structure promotion which provides a favorable way for solving the problem of employment. Therefore, study of service outsourcing has an important significance to ease the China's employment pressures.First of all, this paper defined the concept of outsourcing and compared the definitions of the service outsourcing and service FDI to find the correlations; The literature summarizes mainly from the perspective of host country and outsourcer country; then discusses the effect mechanism of service outsourcing on employment level and employment structure with qualitative and quantitative methods mainly through three channels, that is, the technical overflow effect, income multiplier effect and industrial connection effect.Secondly, based on the content above, this paper constructs a model and conducts the empirical research by the relevant variables of time series data of China from 1997 to 2014. Based on the theoretical analysis, some conclusions are drawn as followings: the influence of service outsourcing in primary industries is insignificant while significant in the secondary and tertiary industries; the degree of influence have great discrepancy in different industries and the primary industry is the most obvious;Undertaking service outsourcing has a positive effect on wage level of all three industries.Finally, it puts forwards some policy recommendations based on the previous analysis to improve employment level and optimize the employment structure. |
