The Grand Canal,as a manned excavation of the canal,has been across four provinces which is Zhejiang,Jiangsu,Shandong and Hebei.With no doubt,The Grand Canal is the longest practice of ancient canals in the world history.Yangtze River and the Yellow River,which are two major river systems of China,are part of The Grand Canal.Obviously,alongside this remarkable grand canal,lots of ancient towns had driven out of nowhere by it's excavation.For example,southeast o f the region of Shandong province had already become hub of water transport from desolate and barbaric area.In the meanwhile,many towns started to set settlements.In this dissertation,the history of the ancient canal of Shandong section will be the first part.The distribution of the ancient town along the ancient town of Shandong Province is analyzed with the ancient literature as the source,and the formation and development characteristics of the ancient town will be described.Along the town as a traffic dividend town,its development and the Grand Canal itself has a very close relationship.After thousands of years of cultural and historical accumulation,both geographical location,economic base and cultural heritage have a relatively advanced advantages.In order to grasp the more practical information,Shandong section of the ancient canal in the town of Nanyang town had been visited.The ancient town of architectural culture and cultural heritage preservation situation has been more in-depth Understand,and thus for their protection and development issues put forward the corresponding point of view.
