Study On The Coastal Landscape Conservation And Updated Of Beijing-Hanzhou Grand Canal (Jining Section)

Nowadays, urban waterfront exploitation becomes a highlight of city constructionin the world. From1960’s, there have already had plenty of successful development ofurban waterfront in Europe and America. Compared to these, China has just made astart in the research. Jining is a celebrated canal city in China. The urban development isvitally related with the historical transition of ancient canal. The ancient canal renewalwould create a large amount of general benefit of society, economy, and environment toJining.Now the regulation project of the ancient canal is being constructed rapidly inJining and has made some achievement. The purpose of the research is to advance arelatively systematic method and preserve the history and cultural tradition of the citythrough the research on renewal and design of the landscape in Jining ancient canal.Choosing Jining ancient canal as the point to start, the paper introduces the researchcontent, methods, background and framework, the paper provides theoretic supports forurbanwaterfront through the case analysis of urban waterfront’s planning andconstructing at home and abroad. Secondly illustrates the related concepts and theconnotation in the first. Through the way of literature study, research and investigation,comparative study，the paper discusses the historical transition of the landscape ofJining ancient canal. The paper focuses on urban waterfront in Jining ancient canal,studies on the current situation, investigates the preservation situation of historicalbuildings along the ancient canal, and summarizes the successful methods and problemsthrough the regulation projects of the ancient canal. Finally, from the water landscapedesign, landscape design, landscape architectural design, the protection of historicalbuildings and updated four respects proceed with, put forward a more complete systemdesign method, obtained the research results.
