Design And Implementation Of Intelligent Meter Reading System Based On Wireless Network

The model of periodic meter reading is now dominant in majority of areas which is monthly read,typed into computer by hands and then accounted and charged at present.It will cost a lot of manpower by manual reading data.This kind of charging has lots of shortcomings as follows,long meter reading period,low degree of automation and heavy workload.All of above will bring a lot of difficulties to the power management department when they want to analyze the electricity consumption.The policy of time-of-use has led to the development of intelligent meter reading technology(IMR).Power electronics technology makes it possible to introduce the digital meters that mechanical meter cannot do.With the rapid development of communication and computer technology,a guarantee for wireless communication of intelligent meter has been provided.Is designed and implemented in this paper wireless meter reading system based on wireless network.Firstly,this paper presents the background of IMR,the current status at home and abroad and the theoretical basis and feasibility.Then it mainly introduces the overall design of the system,including the composition of hardware and software and data communication protocol between host and slave computer.After analyzing data terminal's characteristics and function requirements,the series of H7710 which made by Shen Zhen HongDian is chosen.At last the system which is developed and designed using Visual Studio 2010 combines Excel and Access for data storage and processing.
