Professor Yao Kuiwu's Discrimination And Treatment Of Abnormal Blood Lipid From Phlegm And Blood Stasis

Objective:Statistics researching and data mining the clinical prescriptions of dyslipidemia,the dissertation summarizes Professor Yao Kuiwu's medication law for treating dyslipidemia using herbal medicine.Method:Professor Yao Kuiwu's dyslipidemia prescriptions of the outpatients were selected as data source according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,which were treated in the department of Cardiology of the Guang'anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,from February 2016 to December 2017.The basic information and prescriptions were logged in the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System(Version 2.5)"software system.According to the prescriptions data set,combined with core theory "Phlegm and stasis",Professor Yao Kuiwu's medication law for treating dyslipidemia was analyzed.Results:1.A total of 151 prescriptions for effectively treating dyslipidemia were screened out.One hundred and seventeen herbs were involved,18 herbs with frequency above 50 times,which were the core herbs included:Crataegi Fructus(Shanzha),Dioscoreae Rhizoma(Shanyao),Puerariae Lobatae Radix(Gegen),Atractyodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma(Baizhu),Glycyrrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma Praeparata Cum Melle(Zhigancao),Coptidis Rhizoma(Huanglian),Medicated Leaven(Shenqu),Acorus Tatarinowii Schott(Shichangpu),Chuanxiong Rhizoma(Chuanxiong),Zingiberis Rhizoma(Ganjiang),Bupleuri Radix(Chaihu),Euodiae Fructus(Wuzhuyu),Codonopsis Radix(Dangshen),Aurantii Fructus(Zhiqiao),Paeoniae Radix Alba(Baishao),Poria(Fuling),Amomi Fructus(Sharen)?Gardeniae Fructus Praeparatus(Jiaozhizi).According to the herbs classification,usage of the highest frequency in turn were tonic drugs,heat-clearing drugs,drugs of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis,drugs for relieving exterior syndrome,drugs of preventing phlegm from forming and stopping coughing,drugs for regulating QI flow,drugs for dispelling internal cold,dampness-transforming medicine.According to the classification of Four QI,the top 3 were ranked as warm,cold and flat.And for Five flavor were ranked as sweet,pungent and bitter.And meridian distribution resulted to spleen meridian,stomach meridian,liver meridian,heart meridian and kidney meridian.2.Twenty-five herbs pairs were summarized by correlation analysis.3.Extracted drug pairs and correlation coefficients using the method of mutual information based,formed 32 core combinations and 16 new prescriptions.4."Protect spleen and stomach QI,eliminate phlegm and remove blood stasis" is the medication law for treating dyslipidemia of Professor Yao Kuiwu.Conclusion:1.Dyslipidemia,from Chinese Medicine perspective,is the syndrome that the root is deficiency(spleen and stomach QI deficiency)and the branch is excess(phlegm,stasis,wet,heat,stagnation),especially phlegm and stasis.The diseased viscera include spleen,stomach,liver and kidney.The disease location is in blood vessels.The basic pathogenesis is combination of phlegm and stasis,deficiency of viscera.2.Professor Yao Kuiwu advocates combination of diseases and syndrome differentiation,treatment of reinforcing healthy QI and purging toxin,thoroughly improve function of spleen and stomach,distinction the reason of phlegm and stasis,and accompanied symptoms.3.Professor Yao Kuiwu's principle of treatment is "Eliminating phlegm,dampness and stasis,reinforcing liver,spleen and kidney".4.Professor Yao Kuiwu applies Yue Ju Wan,Si Ni San,Shen Ling Bai Zhu San,Wu Zhu Yu Tang in the treatment of dyslipidemia,using warm-method and heat-clearing-method concurrent classical prescriptions,and supplementing QI,promoting blood circulation.
