Chinese characters, which are known as the main component of Chinese culture, are developing continuously during the whole development of Chinese history. In this process, the specific structures help Chinese characters to maintain their original meanings, which provide powerful evidences for today's Chinese characters study and acquisition. However, difficulties, coming form the abstract and restraining strokes, can be seen not only in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, but in introducing Chinese character culture to the world. Although nowadays many scholars pay great attention to this area as well as more and more study achievements has been received, when it comes to the practical aspect, there are still some deficiencies in current textbooks or cultural booklets, such as the monotonous translation of the meaning of Chinese character culture. These cannot present unique characteristics of Chinese characters undoubtedly, and are not satisfied with the demand of students who love Chinese language and culture. That is to say, more efforts need to be paid by researchers in the area of teaching Chinese to foreign learners and popularizing Chinese culture.This essay focus on exploring the significant of the structure evolution of Chinese characters in Chinese characters teaching. It complies with the tendency of second language teaching's development, as well as tries to complete translation of the several fundamental Chinese characters, with clear logical writing style and precise description. It also promotes pertinent advises for the future improvement of teaching Chinese to foreign learners and popularizing Chinese culture, hoping to make a contribution to the second-language teaching and interdisciplinary research.
