Teaching Chinese as a second language is a Chinese language teaching and its teaching objects are people of different nations whose mother languages are not Chinese. Teaching Chinese as a second language teaches Chinese phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric and its inner organization principles and rules of use, to train the Chinese learners' basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing so as to cultivate their ability to cross-cultural communication. But the language in its essence is a kind of cultural phenomenon, the carrier of culture, the manifestation of culture, and culture influences the language, language teaching and culture teaching are interdependent, inseparable. Teaching Chinese as a second language is not only a learning process of language knowledge and basic skills, but also a process of multiculture collides and exchange with each other, therefore, in the teaching process of teaching Chinese as a second language, the cultural factors of imparting and interpretation should be consistently throughout the teaching process. Teachers is the key factor in classroom teaching, according to the above analysis, the teachers should adjust and reshape the teaching ideas, follow the integral teaching ideas that language and culture are inseparable. Don't ignore the related cultural knowledge introduction and penetration when teaching language knowledge to students so that it can improve Chinese learners' language communicative skills as well as get a deeper, full-aspect understanding of the rich and traditional Chinese cultural knowledge. Meanwhile it can help to promote the Chinese and western cultures complement, reduce the contradiction and conflict when communicating, thus promote the smooth progress of cross-cultural communication.Culture teaching plays an important part in teaching Chinese as a second language and can not be ignored. And Marriage customs is an important study of culture teaching in teaching contents. Marriage customs is a cultural phenomenon which is formed on the basis of people's love and marriage. A teaching design from the intensive reading class,which chooses lesson 6 “Wedding in the 80s” from Level Chinese: Intensive Reading Course, is designed to give the learners an example, showing them how the marriage customs knowledge is conveyed to the learners in language teaching?This design fully explains the key words, grammar, paragraphs so that the students can get the information of Chinese marriage customs. Meanwhile, it contrastively analyses the differences between western and Chinese marriage customs. After that, it analyses deeper and sums up the hidden reasons of the differences. During the process, the design consciously guides the students to collect materials, explore independently, have the courage to show, so as to improve their interests in learning Chinese language and Chinese culture, thus improve their communicative skills of Chinese.
