Da Nanshan Miao Language Vocabulary Research

Both the Miao and the Chinese are lacking of the signs and changes of morphology. The function words have become an important means to express grammatical meanings in Miao language, which plays an important role in Miao language grammar. In this paper, the Dananshan Miao prepositions, conjunctions,auxiliary words and modal particle were classified as function words, which are based on the idea of the division of parts of speech in Chinese. In this paper, the theory of Dananshan Miao language function words is mainly the theoretical basis of three levels:syntax, semantics and pragmatics. And the comparing is the basis method of this article. The author studies it by comparing the function words select of different sentence category and different lexical category and position in the sentence. The full text is divided into five parts.The first part is a detailed overview of DananshanMiao village and Dananshan Miao language, which points out the importance of DananshanMiao language in Miao language. Then it explains the content of this paper, pointing out the purpose and significance of the topic, the source of the corpus and the research methods.The second part is studying the concept, scope, classification and usage of preposition of the Dananshan Miao language. In this part, the author focuses on two aspects, thus, to compare and study the preposition of the same grammatical function and how to distinguish between the Miao language prepositions and verbs. What's more, the author uses the method of static description to introduce the use of Chinese prepositions in Miao language.The third part is studying the concept, scope, classification and usage of conjunctions of the Dananshan Miao language. The author not only discusses the usage of the conjunction words and phrases, but also the usage of conjunction words in a sentence of two or more clauses. And the difference between the conjunction“ndros(?) ”and “tab(?) ”is analyzed in this part in detail.At last, the use of Chinese conjunctions in Miao language is discussed in this part in detail. It ismainly to discuss the conjunction of the causality and the adversative relation, such as“because...so...”and “not only...but...”.because there are no these conjunction words in the Dananshan Miao language.The fourth part is studying the auxiliary word in Miao language. It is mainly discussing the Miao language “ndangt ”,“leuf”,“dout” and “jat ”. The four auxiliary word “ndangt” indicates “future perfect aspect”, “leuf” indicates “realize aspect”,“dout” indicates “static continuity or dynamic continuity”and “jat” indicates“static continuity ”.At last, the author not only discusses the difference between “dout” and“jat”, but also the specific usage of them as different parts of speech.In the fifth part is studying modal particle in the Miao language. The mood of the Miao language is mainly expressed by these means, such as context, syntax, tone words and interrogative pronouns. The study of modal particle is mainly to study the concrete usage of single and complex modal particle.
