Data-based Comparative Study On Functions Of Tibetan Case Auxiliary Words And English Prepositions

Tibetan language processing has a big range of subjects to study and of these Tibetan language basic knowledge library is one of the most basic subjects that has to be dealt with first. It's only possible to have a bright future for Tibetan language processing when all the basic research is carried out. Looking at the applied technologies and Natural Language Processing, semantic analysis is the most highly valued part. And researches carried on case auxiliary words are a crucial component of basic knowledge resource. Tibetan Case auxiliary words play an important role in Traditional Tibetan Grammar.With all the available academic achievements on Traditional Tibetan Grammar, this paper has referred to the way in which English prepositions are being functionally categorized and has done a multidimensional research on functions of Tibetan Case auxiliary words. English prepositions are very active in their functions in sentences where they are being used and most of the prepositional phrases are very much related to prepositions. This paper categorizes Tibetan case auxiliary words and English prepositions from the perspective of their functions. Functional parallel research on Tibetan case auxiliary words and English prepositions is imperative for Tibetan-English machine translation. This paper has five component chapters: first is mainly about the current status for comparative study of Tibetan case auxiliary words and English prepositions and the effect this paper might produce on future researches that will be focused on Tibetan language processing; second chapter introduces Tibetan auxiliary words with its categories and the definition for Tibetan case auxiliary words; third chapter is about English prepositions and its functional categories; Forth chapter is the core of all this paper and it's about the differences and similarities in functions of Tibetan Case Auxiliary words and English prepositions; lastly the fifth chapter is its conclusion.
