Research On The Compilation Of Yang Xiong's "Dialects" And "Chinese Dictionary"

Dialect is the first comparison of Chinese dialect vocabulary book by Han Yang Xiong,t is an important ancient book in the value of linguistics.The book has a total of thirteen volume,eleven thousand nine hundred words,six hundred and seventy-five entries.This paper strives for providing valuable reference to Chinese Dictionary revision and consummation by means of comparing Chinese Dictionary on basis of words of Dialect.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction part mainly discuss Yang Xiong and his Dialect,research summary of subject as well as reasoning methods such as Xian learning guidance method,contrast method,combination of diachronic study and synchronic study adopted in the paper from three aspects:the author of Dialect and its title,content and style of Dialect,the value of Dialect.The second part backorder 16 no article testimony,8 one example entry,12 weak documentary evidence,5 documentary evidence article lag,6 one example entry and documentary evidence article lag from documentary evidence in the Chinese Dictionary,adding and advance entry and documentary evidence in the Chinese Dictionary to provide powerful evidence for grasping words.The third part amend the problems in Chinese Dictionary in terms of paraphrase,it has found 1 meaning order problems,4 entry points or improper,30 lack of meaning after the investigation.The forth part amend 15 interpretation questionable entries in terms of meaning,it points out that Chinese Dictionary exists no-meaning,wrong-meaning and commentaries on the discrepancy phenomenon.The fifth part supplements 27 words that Chinese Dictionary hasn't included in the Dialect and textual research one by one to classify in terms of words lack and entries lack.The conclusion of the part of the paper mode a summary and pointed out the deficiencies.Due to the inadequate command of theoretical knowledge and data,it remains to be improved in such aspects as segmentation definition entry and entry paraphrase.The paper combines Dialect and Chinese Dictionary to research for the first time,it breaks the original limitation of the research of author,copyright,annotated,dialect textual research of Dialect.It not only reference value to the research on the history of Chinese vocabulary but also provide reference opinions for dictionaries revision.
