Vocabulary teaching occupies an important proportion in foreign language teaching.For a long time,the neglect of the importance for vocabulary teaching makes it be a weak part in the whole teaching progress.In the past,vocabulary teaching is mainly based on the "word based" teaching method,"character based"teaching method and the morpheme teaching method.These methods had been approved during the teaching practice,although there are still plenty of flaws themselves.It is urgent for teachers from foreign language teaching to find a new way to teach vocabulary.This paper will rely on the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle's "Ten Category"theory,as well as the Chinese scholars Daoxin Zhang and Hong Dong who wrote"Modern Chinese semantic category theory." The focus of their book is the modern Chinese semantic category and the semantic structural.I will analyze the morpheme meaning and category of definite compound words of noun morpheme in Chinese word list of " Development Chinese senior comprehensive(?)(?)",and discuss its application in vocabulary teaching.In this paper,I will study not only the noun attributive morpheme in the compound word,but also the research object.This paper consists of six chapters.Chapter one is the introduction.This chapter introduces the background and significance of this topic,reviews the existing literature,research methods,etc.Chapter two is the study of Aristotle's classical category theory and the category of morpheme meaning.This chapter mainly introduces Aristotle's classical category theory,the definition,classification,characteristics of morpheme and classification and characteristics of morpheme semantic category.Chapter three discusses the "Development Chinese senior comprehensive(?)(?)" distribution in compound words,through the statistical analysis of the data obtained,selecting the "Development Chinese senior comprehensive(?)(?)" as the research object for the noun morpheme category analysis.Chapter four is the analysis of "Development Chinese senior comprehensive(?)(?)" in definite compound words noun morpheme meaning and its category,selecting the "Development Chinese senior comprehensive(?)(?)" in the compound words as an example for each type of morpheme category analysis.Chapter five is the teaching suggestion of the compound words in the advanced stage.This chapter will propose a specific vocabulary teaching method and design lesson plan.Chapter six is the conclusion,which summarizes the research content of this paper,and illustrates the research conclusion.
