The Live Broadcasting Practice Report Under The Guidance Of Adaptation Theory - The 88th Academy Awards Ceremony

Oscar(Academy Award)has been recognized as one of the most authoritative film awards,and the Oscar ceremony has become an important cultural activity of the international film festival.The CCTV6(movie channel)had begun to give immediate reports of the Oscars ceremony since the 2003.It rebroadcast 15 times,and tried to adopt different ways of live broadcasts.As the transmission is in English and simultaneous translation is not adopted,the Channel had to return to rebroadcasts.There are lives about Oscar ceremony in domestic,but they don not have the English or Chinese subtitle,it has not the bilingual subtitles until the ceremony ends,so,the audience can not acquire the immediately messages.The practices and summaries of the author are benefit for the further development of interpreting,as interpreting could transmit the messages instantly.This report is guided by Adaptation Theory,and tends to report the questions and strategies when translating the 88 th annual Academy Awards.The report is divided into five parts: task description,the preparation,theory outline,strategy in simultaneous interpreting.Through the report,the author finds the problems in the interpreting and the puts forward suggestions to solve these shortcoming.
