A Report On Simulated Simultaneous Interpreting Of China-ASEAN And Neighboring Countries Police Academy Presidents Forum

With the increase of international and regional exchange and cooperation between China and foreign countries in diverse fields,cooperation between China-ASEAN and neighboring countries is increasingly frequent as well.China-ASEAN and Neighboring Countries Police Academy Presidents Forum is an important event for exchange and cooperation between police academies in the region because this forum plays a significant role in maintaining social stability in this region and the forum is beneficial to make more people pay more attention to police cooperation.With the guidance of Skopos theory,the author makes an analysis of her simulated simultaneous interpreting practice on China-ASEAN and Neighboring Countries Police Academy Presidents Forum.There are five chapters in the report.Chapter 1 is the transcript of source speech and interpretation.Chapter 2 is the description of this interpreting task.In Chapter 3,the author presents the whole process of simulated simultaneous interpreting which includes preparation,interpreting implementation and post-interpreting issues.Chapter 4 is case studies with examples from this simulated simultaneous interpreting.The last chapter is a reflection on this interpreting experience.The author hopes to provide several references in this field to further researches.
