Research On The Problem Of Interpreting Interpretation Of Chinese Cultural Features

In recent years,interpretation of texts with Chinese characteristics has attracted more and more attention.These texts have frequently appeared in government work reports and press conferences.This study is about analyzing problems and causes in the consecutive interpreting of texts with Chinese characteristics and then the relevant interpreting strategies will be proposed.On the bases of personal practices and surveys,it is found that the main problems include: at lexical level,there are misuses of words,word-for-word interpretation,and vocabulary vacancy between two languages;at sentential level,there are errors because of literal interpretation and information redundancy and etc.The causes of these problems contain differences of languages,cultures,and ways of thinking between the East and West as well as deficiencies in language abilities of interpreters.To this end,the writer comes up with the relevant interpretation strategies to solve these problems.The solutions are as follows: literal interpretation,combination of literal interpretation and explanation,transliteration,free interpretation and omitting and so on.The thesis aims to provide some help and inspiration to interpreters during their interpretation of texts with Chinese characteristics.
