Uighur Color Word Research

Xinjiang was located in the hub of wich called "Silk Road" in historoiey,which was very important Cultural cross road between East and West,which connects Chinese Culture,Indian Culture,Greek Culture and Islamic Culture,In the course of development which formed special Cultural features.Uyghurs are one of the Ethnic groups with long history,rich culture and old cultural heritages.Uyghurs played very important role in the formation of united multi ethnic splendid country of China and also played important role in different political,economic and cultural historic times.Uyghur language and scripture is one of the very important elements in the existence of Uyghur people with its long historical process.We all know modern systematic linguistics researches were started in the end of 19th century from Europe.Though we are late to use the modern theories and methodologies in our Uyghur language research,still we got outstanding performance,and there are lots of articles written about historical development of Uyghur language Color words are hot topics of researchers and also researchers in the field of anthropologies,ethnologies,sociologies,linguistics and psychologies carried out all levels of research.Researchers found the commonness of color words by comparing in more than hundred languages in the world.By doing so,researchers concluded ranges of basic color words and their features.The research on Uyghur language,especially the research on modern Uyghur language was carried out by famous linguistics and scholars using coordinated efforts in the applications of new theoretical methods and achieved outstanding grades.There are lots of special or exclusive works has been written and published on the phonetics,Lexes and Grammar of Uyghur language.Color words are one of the most important parts of the Lexical lists of Uyghur language with its special features.Although lots of research articles had been published on color words of Uyghur language,it is too pity that until now not many exclusive research articles didn't come out.In this paper,I have used latest methods and theories about color words which were used here in China and abroad,according to the development process of Uyghur language and its reality.I will exclusively talk about morphological features,lexical meaning and semantic meaning according to Common linguistics theories.Apart from this,in the point of social linguistics and cognitive linguistics,I will talk about the recognition of color words among Uyghurs and understanding of the symbolic meaning and metaphorical meaning of the basic color words.
