Study On The Uyghur Translation Of Chinese Words' Color Meaning

The color meaning of Chinese words belongs to the more important and independent part of meaning content,and also has close relation with lexical meaning,which is the meaning content attached to word meaning.Most scholars believe that the meaning of color is attached to the meaning of words,also known as ancillary or additional meaning.When people gives objective things to appellation,and expresses the general understanding of objective things and phenomena,they often add subjective consciousness and subjective evaluation,such as likes and dislikes,solemn and humorous,praise and denigration,etc.The subjective evaluation given by the people to the objective things is reflected in the meaning of the word and constitutes the color meaning of the word.Based on the predecessors' theory,the author holds that color meaning refers to the meaning attached to the rational meaning of a word,expressing a certain feeling or a tendency given by a person or context.Based on the research of experts and scholars,this paper adopts the words that have color meanings in Description of the Scenery and The Funeral of the Muslims as the corpus source,uses the methods of description and explanation,literature collection and other research methods to study the color meaning,emotional color and color meaning of Chinese words in a comprehensive way.Through the research,we can conclude that the uyghur translation of language color meaning can follow the following three principles: the reproduction of color meaning of source language words is better than the representation of form;the choice of words should take into account the context of source language words;source language words have the implied meaning and to be translated into non-implied meaning in translation.This paper systematically studies the uyghur translation of Chinese word's color meaning from aspects of multidimensional and multi-angle.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part of the introduction mainly discusses the purpose and significance of the selected topic,research status overview and research methods and corpus sources;The second part discusses the definition,characteristics and classification of the color meaning of Chinese words.The third part is the main part of the paper,focusing on the uyghur translation characteristics of the Chinese word's image color meaning,followed by the uyghur translation characteristics of emotional color meaning and stylistic color meaning;The fourth part is the conclusion.Through the analysis and description of the corpus,the uyghur translation characteristics of the Chinese word color meaning have been explored and studied comprehensively.
