Language is the condensation of culture that closely related to itself.Translation activity concerns with the exchange of different languages and cross-cultural communication.While reading literary pieces,understanding resistances in languages with their characteristics involve life habit,thinking pattern,values,religious beliefs and so on.Meanwhile,due to the different culture,one of the difficulty to the translators is the “Culture-loaded Words” translation that beard the cross-cultural information.This paper analyzes translation resistance with cultural differences,based on Gu Du,two Chinese versions by Lin Shaohua and Tang Yuemei.And then,the author mainly discusses the “Culture-loaded Words” translation,and what translation strategies have been used by the translator.Two translators use a variety of translation strategies to correctly deliver the cultural information.Nevertheless,some translation hasn't achieved the true meaning from the original text.The author thinks that cultural background and differences,the standpoint of writer and reader should be considered while translating the “Culture-loaded Words”.In other words,to correctly deliver the original meaning and thinking to the readers,translators should enhance the understanding of foreign cultures,and concern with the acceptance level of the readers,as well as enough consciousness.In order to make the writer's intention attached with readers' and avoid the understanding resistance,translator should use proper translation means.Especially for Gu Du,a great deal of “Culture-loaded Words”,how to translate these words stands the critical position while delivering the original meaning.In addition,the cultural information involved in “Culture-loaded Words” is strange to Chinese readers.If the readers don't have enough corresponding knowledge,it's fairly hard for translator to deliver the original literary works.Therefore,the author considers that the reader also should get preparation with the literary works' background,so that to achieve better understanding add up to better translation.
