The study reported here has been conducted using the method of questionnaire survey among students from grade one to grade four at Nanjing Tech University to explore the correlations of learning pressure, self-control and academic procrastination among college students. 810 questionnaires have been distributed at random, of which 768 are collected and valid. The study includes:1. the use of college academic procrastination Scale (PASS, Solomon &Rothblum) to investigate the current situation of college students'procrastination;2. the use of students' learning Stress Questionnaire (Tian San, Tang Qi) to analyze the correlation between college students' academic pressure and academic procrastination;3. the use of college students' learning self-control scale (Zou Danjie, Zhang Lingcong, Lin Zhongmin) to analyze the correlation between college students'self-control and academic procrastination; Results:There are significant differences between students from different genders, disciplines and grades in academic procrastination. Boy students have a higher degree of delay than girl students. The extent of delay of engineering and liberal arts students is significantly higher than that of art students. The sophomores and the seniors have a higher degree of academic delay than the freshmen. There are significant differences between students from different disciplines and grades in learning pressure. The liberal arts students and art students feel greater pressure in learning than those of engineering students. The seniors feel greater pressure in learning than those of juniors and the freshmen. There is significant difference between students from different grades in learning self-control. The degree of the freshmen's learning self-control is much higher than that of the other grades.Three components of learning pressure (learning performance, learning atmosphere and learning conditions) can be the significant positive predictors of the students' academic procrastination. Two components of learning self-control (sense of self-control and strategy of self-control) can be the significant negative predictors of the students' academic procrastination.
