The Enlightenment Of ESL Teaching Mode To Domestic Chinese Teaching

With the accelerated process of economic globalization,China has been a significant part of the world economy.In this process,the cultural influence of China abroad is also rising and,in order to understand the Chinese culture better and trade with Chinese,the number of people who are studying Chinese is becoming larger.Therefore,teaching Chinese as a second language has a bright future.Under these circumstances,there emerged a trend of studying Mandarin worldwide.Besides,teaching Chinese as a second language plays an important role in world language education,just as teaching English as a second language is also essential.As we all know,Chinese has the largest number of native speakers in the world,but English is the most common language learned as a second language in the world.The importance of Chinese and English goes without saying.Generally,the most effective method of teaching languages emphasizes what is practical and close to students,close to their lives,close to the reality.First of all,because of the fact that students who are learning Chinese have different cultural backgrounds and grew up in diverse atmospheres,each one has their own distinctive character.In order to give foreign students a more educational experience,we need to improve our method of teaching Chinese as a second language.Although students can develop their language skills naturally in daily life,the most important way to study a language is via a set curriculum.Thus,we ought to pay more attention to our teaching techniques.Although our country has set up many Confucius colleges in the world to promote the development of the Chinese language and made some achievements,there is still a big gap between Chinese teaching and English teaching.To seek innovation and breakthrough success in teaching Chinese as a second language,we should learn partially from the teaching style of ESL courses.In this essay,I hope that people can find some valuable information about the ESL course,through the comparison between the domestic class of teaching Chinese language(mainly referring to the Chinese teaching class of Qingdao University in China)and the foreign class of teaching English as a second language(mainly referring to the ESL class of Bard College in the U.S.).Then we can find a feasible teaching plan to help improve the quality of teaching Chinese as a second language class.As a result,teaching Chinese as a second language will make great strides.
