A Study On The Pragmatic Words Of Five Groups Of Head Action Words In The Naxi Dongba Script

Naxi Dongba script is a writing symbol system that is used by religious Naxi folk for writing religious ritual.Naxi Dongba script is called as “lived stone” of the early stage writing characters,which is still an active script in use nowadays.Researchers at home and aborad have already noticed this special script and made a large number of researches during 100 years,and have made remarkable achievements not only on the document literature collection,but also on the research of the script own and the comparative study between Dongba script and othe scripts.Nowadays,Dongba script's research have bringing forth new ideas in the research methods and the materials we use also have a transformation from dictionary to first-hand literature materials.The deep the study is,the unique perspective we should have.Thus the special project of word's application is on the right way now.But the previous studies always centered on the nouns,scarcely ever refer to verbs.Considering the long-range goal of the project we decide to select a kind of verbs to have a try.The kind of verbs we select is the action words which are related to organs on our heads,such as laugh,cry,eat,drink,look and so on.Based on the previous research,this dissertation makes a full use of first-hand literature materials and explores the developing traces and evolving ruls from five aspects.This dissertation is consisted of seven chapters.Chapter One is an introduction.Chapter Two and Three are the theoretic foundation for this study.The focal part is from Chapter Two to Chapter Six.Chapter Seven is a conclusion.Chapter One is an introduction.Firstly,it presents the meaning of the title and the cause of topic selection,research purpose and significance.Secondly,comprehensive literature review on the relevant studies is given.Thirdly,it introduces this study's methods and steps.Finally,it gives an explanation of the relevant materials and quotation's formats.Chapter Two studies the expression of Dongba script.Firstly,it chooses two scripts “speak” and “listen” and present the expression methods they use respectively.Then it has a comparison about the expression methods between the two scripts.Chapter Three studies the writing units of Dongba script “eat” and “drink”.Firstly,it sorts out the writing units of Dongba script “eat” and “drink”.Secondly,it gives a general overview of the relationship between the writing units and its corresponding linguistic units of Dongba scripts from two aspects.Thirdly,it discusss the development of included writing units from the corresponding segments to words and also about compound graphs of Dongba script.Chapter Four studies the character shape of two Dongba scripts “look'and “see”.Firstly,it talks about the previous studies about the two scripts especially about their shape differences.Secondly,it presents all shapes the two have in the materials we collect.Thirdly,it makes a remark about previous studies.Chapter Five studies a syntagm “chang zhe he zhe”.Firstly,it presents the expression methods the syntagm has.Secondly,it studies the development of the expressions in different territories.Chapter Six studies the word application of a kind of stylization words.Chapter Seven draws the conclusion of this study.
