A Study Of Chinese Imagery In The NHK Silk Road Series Documentary

Since signing the Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship,NHK has taken a large number of documentaries about Chinese themes,which has attracted wide attention in Japan and internationally,which reveal a warm and lasting concern for China.The series documentary of "Silk Road" transmited at 1980 and spreaded at 38 countries.As the most influential works of NHK,the series documentary retained the highest evaluation in history of Japanese television.This paper adopts the method of text analysis and literature research to study the Chinese image which constructed by the series documentary of "Silk Road" Hoping to enrich the research of NHK documentary,and provide reference for our country in international communication for the right to speak.Creating a good image of our country.This article is divided into six chapters.Chapter 1 is introduction.Chapter 2 focuses on the development history,public nature,domestic and international dissemination of NHK,and the background,content and theme of the series of "Silk Road' series,the situation and influence of the documentaries,and discusses the application of the series of documentaries that the reason for this study.Chapter 3 mainly discusses how to shape the image of China,through the analysis of the series of documentary which from the theme subject matter and discourse skills.Chapter 4 focuses on how the Chinese image constructed by the NHK is divided into the age.The 80s documentary presents the Chinese image as the cultural power and the motherland of the Japanese civilization.The new century series documentary presents China with many problems in the development process.Chapter 5 analyzes the specific causes of the Chinese image in the documentaries,from the government's policy toward China,the NHK media position and the dimensions of folk discourse.Chapter 6 is revelation and reflection.The study found that the series of NHK documentary "Silk Road' shape of the Chinese image to the age of division,not static.In the 1980s,the series of documentary paid more attention to China's long history and culture.Constructing the image of China as a great cultural nation,the motherland of Japan's civilization.In the new century,NHK paid more attention to the contemporary China in the modernization process.The construction of the Chinese image is multifaceted which both positive and negative evaluation,showing Japan's swing and wandering position on China.In terms of discourse expression skills,NHK focuses on ordinary people,narrative stories,episodes,expressions of emotion and attitudes in soundtracks,pictures and commentary,and increases the authenticity and visibility of the series of documentaries.The image guarantee the truth of the phenomenon,but inevitably shaped the Chinese image from the national interests.As a mass media,NHK has a strong influence in the construction of China's image.There is a fact-based real image and affected by the Japanese ideology of the virtual image.In order to exploring the modern Japanese cultural identity NHK build imagination of the Chinese imagea with Japanese's modern discourse.China's peaceful rise requires the interpretation of Chinese discourse.But in the international competition,the Chinese media has been at a disadvantage sitution.It is harmful to spread China's good image.On the one hand,we should stand in the position of national interests to look at the image of China carefully created by NHK and solve the real problems.On the other hand,we should improve the external communication strategies and means.Adjusting the mode of transmission to overcome contextual barriers and reduce cultural discounts for improving the acceptance of the Chinese image created by the Chinese media.Grasping the initiative,timeliness and credibility in international communication.Adhere to the principles and positions from the right position.So as to establish a national image that is beneficial to China's national interests.
