Language is the carrier of culture,culture is the soul of language,for Chinese learners,learning culture can not be ignored,and with the continuous improvement of the level of Chinese,the necessity of cultural learning is becoming more and more obvious and the learners need more effective learning methods during their study.With the rapid development of science and technology,the multimedia began to enter the Chinese classroom and gradually change the traditional teaching mode.But in the actual teaching process,the current application of multimedia in cultural teaching is not ideal.This paper is based on the current situation,trying to make a thorough inquiry about the application of documentary film works as auxiliary teaching means in cultural teaching,hope this study could provide some research ideas for this kind of teaching mode.The first chapter stated the the definition and significance of this study,put forward that the documentary can serve as auxiliary teaching means in cultural teaching,and provide a good learning atmosphere for Chinese learners to learn happily.Then after a review of previous research production,it came out a conclusion that the research on the application of documentary in culture teaching is relatively small,proved the significance of this study again.In the second chapter,according to the method of learning theory,this paper expounds the feasibility and importance of documentary as auxiliary teaching means in the course of culture.In chapter three,the author puts forward the different forms of documentary teaching in the cultural class according to the two kinds of standards and three kinds of practical principle in practical teaching,then summarizes the existing problems in the application.At last this paper sums up a list according to different themes of culture in chapter five.This paper is based on the current situation,through the discussion of some basic ideas and methods about the application of documentary as auxiliary teaching means in cultural teaching,this paper affirms the significance of this subject.It's a hope that this study can explore the possibility of this kind of teaching mode in the teaching of Chinese as a second language,make the documentary play a better role in teaching of Chinese as a second language,especially the cultural class,promote the development of TCSL.
