The traditional Chinese culture,both extensive and profound,starts far back and runs a long,long course,the rich connotation of which serves as thought resources for today's theoretical construction as well as the living source for cultural awareness and cultural confidence.China,with 56 ethnic groups,has formed a diversified culture to which the ethnic minorities have made great contribution.The minority culture and folk heritage are closely related to us,especially their colorful artistic forms and exquisite craftsmanship,with whose inheritance and continuity from generation to generation,have long permeated Chinese people's aesthetic activities.The discovery and dissemination of minority culture rely deeply on not only the process of serious and rigorous study,arrangement and summarization,but also education and inheritance.Polytechnic colleges,as an important part of China's education system,shoulder the responsibility to impart knowledge and cultivate people,as well as nurture talents with professional expertise.This essay intends to lay focus on an outstanding represent of Uygur folk culture — — the folk dance of Uygur.Taking the performance teaching in polytechnic colleges as the research contents and using the perspective of teaching to observe the inheritance and innovation of the folk dance,the essay explores a more efficient and appropriate way of teaching Uygur folk dance in class,based on the training program for professional talents of dance performance.And Hunan Vocational College of Art is taken as an example here.The essay is consisted of three parts.The introduction illustrates the research purpose and significance,current research and its main problems,research methods used,as well as main difficulties encountered in the research process and main problems to be solved.The main body unfolds the discussion from the following four aspects: the present situation of Uygur folk dance in polytechnic colleges,the folk culture and folk dance of Uygur,the practice of the Uygur folk dance in classroom teaching,and the value of such practice.Finally,in the summary,the author hope that through the discussion of how students majoring dance performance in polytechnic colleges innovate the teaching method of the Uygur folk dance,a better way can be found to reach the goals of inheriting national folk dances,carrying forward national culture and cultivating applied dance talents who can meet the needs of our society.Also,the essay is written in the hope that beneficial attempts to improve and enrich the teaching materials of Uygur folk dance are made,and that specific examples are provided for the textbook of Uygur Folk Dance Course of Hunan Vocational College of Art.
