Between China and Japan,there has been a large-scale study and the activities of translating and introducing books since the Sui and Tang dynasties.In modern times,for political and social reasons and many other reasons,and after the defeat of China in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895,many people in our country have realized that the past Japan has moved from weak to strong.In order to explore the transformation of Japan and seek remedies for the nation,people began to study in Japan and translated Japanese books to understand the reasons for the change.With the translation and introduction of Japanese books,a large number of books have entered our country.In the early stage,they mainly included books on law,education,agriculture,science and technology,thought and politics.Later all kinds of novels are also gradually flourishing,the types of books are also increasingly rich,not limited to political and legal categories,but also look into popular literature.This article has introduction,conclusion and four chapters.The first chapter analyzes the reasons for the translation of books.Analyzed the changes in the international status of China and Japan,the crisis of aggression,the thought of the people of insight,Japan's ambitions and many other factors.In the analysis process,the reasons for the translation of selected Japanese books are described.Analyze the reasons in many ways.On the basis of the first chapter,the second chapter introduces the main body,individual and works of the Japanese book translation at the time.Introduce Official-owned Tongwen Hall,privately owned Guangzhi Bookstore,students studying abroad,as a translator of personal activities and their works.Study why they chose these books.The third chapter summarizes and analyzes the three types of books that were widely disseminated and used.The fourth chapter is based on the impact of the process of translating books on the spread of modern Chinese culture.Including the spread of ideas,the advancement of vocabulary modernization,and the promotion of modern education.Introduce the development of various types of ideological books,vocabulary,and the development of new education.The large number of book translation activities in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China was due to the different choices of environment and intellectuals at the time.In the selection of translated books,we can find that there are translationsfrom translation of political and law books to all kinds of books.In the course of the study,we can understand the influence of Japan on the development of modern Chinese culture.
