| This thesis is a Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation practice report.The writer had the opportunity to be one of the simultaneous interpreters for “One Belt One Road” Sino-Russia Investment Market Forum and interpreted for three keynote speakers who used many legal and economic terms.None of the speakers had a written script.With permission of the organizers,the writer acquired only their ppt and prepared for the forum.However,one of the speakers did not stick with his ppt and improvised.Because of inexperience and lack of background information,sometimes the author delivered incomplete and incorrect interpretation.This thesis analyzes the interpretation of the speech delivered by Chinese keynote speaker.By using deverbalization,the writer analyzes the original interpretation and gives better interpretation by restructuring,explaining,and simplifying the source language. |
